a family of 7 tries to minimize thier environmental footprint, by going 3 months with zero roadside garbage.
Kudos to you and your family for this undertaking! I know it's not easy at first, but it does get easier. I can't say that I produce zero garbage, but my family puts out one SMALL garbage bag about once every three weeks. I have been an ECOHOLIC for over 25 years! ReplyDeleteI've heard that composting releases methane gas.........what about that?
ReplyDeleteanerobic composting releases very small amounts of methane gas, minute... however...aerobic composting which is what we are doing, doesnt released methane gas.. I looked before I lept.
ReplyDeleteyou guys are absolutely fantastic for giving this a shot. congratulations on a great idea. i hope you succeed in your challenge and i hope you inspire many to live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. i know you've inspired me. i already do everything that i can, but the lady i'm renting a room from uses her recycle bin as storage and gets 2 venti sized cold drinks from starbucks every day and throws them away. if only some people could see the amount of waste they make without even realizing it. good luck folks! i'm telling my friends about you.
